hiiiiiii i'm selkie! i made this website from the ground up, hence why it's janky! but it's kind of swag, you know, just knowing most of what is going into this whole layout thing.

anyways more about me. i'm from milwaukee. and i have great adoration for the great lakes region. i'm on the internet far too much, and always have been since i had a computer (shoutout pokemon forums).

coding is a new thing! i wanted a place where i could put all the stuff i was working on for myself and for other people to look at, outside of social media. and this is way easier to fiddle around than my instagram account, i can't lie. i also tend to forget what i've done, so i'm always saying "oh i did this! wow... i did this!!" super easily LOL.

i do a lot of accessibility and document design for my day job. it's something i am genuinely passionate about! i believe everyone should be able to experience the same basic happiness and good of this world both online and off-line.

but it's pretty common to exclude people, whether intentionally or not. and this sucks! so i'm trying my best to include people through my work. i am still learning, of course. but currently but i know how to design documents and make them accessible for screenreaders. and i also think a lot about how to make physical spaces and events accessible. that includes the actual spaces plus things people can do (like masking!).

in my free time, i do a lot of art. my main deal is digital illustration in Clip Studio Paint or Procreate depending on where i am. i've been getting a lot into traditional art again with those cheapo blue bic pens and pencils. i do linocut prints sometimes and i enjoy the process a ton. i also make zines. basically, i juggle so many projects at the moment that it's a genuine event when i finally finish something.
